Effectively, the official nomination of the current US Vice President has become a formality
Former President of the United States Barack Obama has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s candidate for the presidency. This was reported by WNTab on Friday, July 26, citing a post by the politician on the social network X.
Barack Obama:
“Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend Kamala Harris. We told her that we believe she would make a fantastic President of the United States and that she has our full support.”
The former president promised to do everything possible to ensure Harris wins in November.
It is worth noting that the Obamas have become some of the last influential Democratic Party politicians to support the current Vice President after Joe Biden withdrew from the race and proposed Harris as the candidate. There were rumors in political circles that they planned to nominate former First Lady Michelle Obama as the candidate.
Previously, WNTab reported that Donald Trump agreed to a televised debate with Kamala Harris.
It was also reported that current US President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race and proposed Kamala Harris as his replacement candidate.
