Washington believes the time has come for direct negotiations between the parties
U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce has announced that Washington will no longer serve as a mediator in negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. This was reported by WNTab on Friday, May 2, citing the official’s statement.
Tammy Bruce:
“We will not act as intermediaries. We will not immediately fly to the other side of the world to moderate meetings.”
According to Bruce, the time has come for direct dialogue between Kyiv and Moscow.
It is worth noting that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance had previously expressed a similar opinion. He emphasized that the war in Ukraine is unlikely to end in the near future, and its further development directly depends on negotiations between the two sides. According to him, both Kyiv and Moscow have already been informed of each other’s proposals and must bring the conflict to an end through direct talks.
Earlier, WNTab reported that the United States and Ukraine had signed a resource agreement.
