No fire was exchanged as both sides maintained visual contact

Indian and Pakistani fighter jets were involved in a minor aerial confrontation over the Line of Control in Kashmir. This was reported by WNTab on Wednesday, April 30, citing the Xinhua News Agency.

The incident reportedly occurred on the night of April 29.

According to Pakistani defense sources, four Indian fighter jets were patrolling the airspace above the Line of Control in Kashmir. In response, Islamabad scrambled its own aircraft to monitor the movements of the Indian planes.

The Pakistani side stated that the Indian Air Force jets eventually withdrew from the region’s airspace.

Tensions between the two countries have significantly escalated following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people and injured at least 20 others. India has accused Pakistan of being involved in the attack, while Islamabad has denied all allegations.

Earlier, WNTab reported that Pakistan’s Defense Minister considers an Indian military incursion inevitable.

Meanwhile, Islamabad has launched a series of counter-terror operations, while India has conducted anti-ship missile drills.
