According to international agreements, the decision will take effect in one year

The Hungarian Parliament has voted to withdraw the country from the International Criminal Court (ICC). This was reported by WNTab on Tuesday, April 29, citing a post by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó on the social media platform X.

Péter Szijjártó stated:
“With this decision, we refuse to be part of a politicized institution that has lost its impartiality and credibility.”

In accordance with international treaties, Hungary’s withdrawal from the ICC will take effect in one year.

Earlier, WNTab reported that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had explained Budapest’s decision to exit the International Criminal Court.
