Civil Defense: Airstrikes hit displaced persons’ tents, homes, and civilian gatherings

Over the past 24 hours on Monday, the Israeli army launched multiple strikes across various areas of the Gaza Strip, killing at least 56 Palestinians and injuring dozens more. This was reported by WNTab on Tuesday, April 29, citing Xinhua News Agency.

According to the Gaza Civil Defense Service, the airstrikes targeted tents sheltering displaced persons, residential homes, and gatherings of civilians.

Specifically, 26 people were killed following Israeli Air Force strikes on Gaza City. In the northern part of the enclave, 12 people died when residential buildings near the Jabalia refugee camp were bombed. One person was killed by artillery shelling in the city of Beit Lahia.

A Palestinian girl was killed in an airstrike on a house in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp. In the southern city of Khan Younis, 16 people were reported dead.

Journalists report that since the resumption of Israeli strikes on Gaza on March 18, at least 2,222 Palestinians have been killed. Since the beginning of the military operation in the region, the death toll has reached 52,314, with more than 117,000 injured.

Earlier, WNTab reported that Hamas had agreed to an Egypt-Qatar peace initiative aimed at resolving the conflict in the region.
