Kremlin promises to suspend hostilities from May 8 to May 10 inclusive
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has unilaterally declared a three-day ceasefire in the war with Ukraine. This was reported by WNTab on Monday, April 28, citing the Kremlin’s press service.
The statement reads:
“Based on humanitarian considerations, during the days of the 80th anniversary of Victory — from midnight on May 7 to midnight on May 10 — the Russian side declares a ceasefire. All combat operations will be suspended during this period.”
Moscow has called on Kyiv to follow its example, while reserving the right to respond appropriately in the event of a ceasefire violation.
The Kremlin also stated it is ready for peace negotiations without any preconditions and is open to cooperation with international partners.
Earlier, WNTab reported that the Russian side had also declared an “Easter” ceasefire during the Christian holiday.
