However, the issues of the group’s disarmament and the enclave’s post-war future remain unresolved
The Palestinian group Hamas has agreed to a plan for ending the war in the Gaza Strip proposed by Egypt and Qatar. This was reported by WNTab on Sunday, April 27, citing BBC News.
Specifically, the group expressed readiness to release all hostages simultaneously and to establish a five-year ceasefire. However, according to journalists, Hamas representatives reject the idea of disarming the group’s members. The future of the Gaza Strip after the conflict also remains an unresolved issue.
Israel has not yet commented on the initiative.
In January of this year, the first phase of a ceasefire was achieved, after which Israel resumed military operations in March. According to Israeli officials, their actions are aimed at pressuring Hamas to release the hostages who remain in captivity.
Earlier, WNTab reported that Qatar and Egypt had proposed a new ceasefire plan for Hamas and Israel.
