The head of the defense department reminded that both countries possess nuclear weapons
Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif believes the world should be concerned about the possibility of total war between two nuclear-armed nations. This was reported by WNTab on Friday, April 25, citing The Independent News.
At the same time, Asif expressed hope that the conflict can still be resolved through diplomatic means. Otherwise, he said, Islamabad is prepared to deliver a decisive response that could escalate into full-scale war.
Currently, both sides continue to deploy heavy weaponry to the conflict zone. The Indian Armed Forces have stated that such weapons have already been used in clashes in the disputed Kashmir region.
New Delhi’s forces carried out strikes on buildings believed to be housing militants involved in the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The country’s Minister of Home Affairs has also called on state authorities to expel Pakistani nationals.
Earlier, WNTab reported on the first clashes along the Line of Control in Kashmir.
