North Korea blew up road and rail links with South Korea

South Korean military responded with warning shots

North Korean military forces have blown up road and rail links that connected North Korea with South Korea. This was reported by WNTab on Tuesday, October 15, citing information from Reuters.

It is reported that shortly before the incident, South Korean military observed the movement of construction equipment and North Korean army personnel operating it. Around noon local time, explosions occurred, severing the transportation links between the two countries.

In response, South Korean military personnel fired warning shots. Seoul also claims that North Korea has mined the area on its side.

South Korea called this action by its neighbor “extremely abnormal,” stating that it violates previous agreements. Meanwhile, Pyongyang continues to move towards dismantling initiatives aimed at the reunification of the two nations on the peninsula. Earlier this year, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un called Seoul the “main enemy.” The two countries remain technically at war, as the hostilities of 1950-53 ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty.

Earlier, WNTab reported that Israel attacked a city in northern Lebanon.
