Israel Reports Five Injured Following Shelling from Lebanon

It is currently unclear whether the wounded are military personnel or civilians

Israeli media reported five injured in the border area of Al-Mark with Lebanon, according to WNTab on Thursday, September 19, citing the Anadolu news agency.

Journalists have published footage of the shelling of a settlement in the region. The media did not specify whether the injured were military personnel or civilians. The Lebanese Hezbollah movement claimed responsibility for attacking Israeli military targets in the region. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that they attacked enemy positions in southern Lebanon using air force and artillery.

The escalation in the region occurred after a series of explosions of communication devices affecting thousands of users across Lebanon. Hezbollah accused Israel of conducting a special operation. On September 18 alone, at least 12 people were killed and 2,800 were injured during pager explosions. The condition of 300 of the injured is considered serious. The next day, radios, solar panels, car stereos, and other devices began exploding en masse across the country. On August 19 in Lebanon, 14 people were killed, and over 450 were injured as a result.

Previously, WNTab reported details of the communication device explosions in Lebanon.

Before this, Israel had attacked a tent camp of displaced people in the Gaza Strip.
