CNN has published a photo of a portrait of Donald Trump, which he received as a gift from Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by WNTab on Tuesday, April 22.

According to the report, the painting was created by Russian artist Nikas Safronov.

The artist stated that some “people came to him” and asked him to paint Trump as he sees him. Although the visitors did not identify themselves, Safronov said he immediately suspected they were from the Kremlin.

Nikas Safronov:

«It was important to me to show the blood, the scar and his bravery during the attempt on his life. He didn’t break down or become afraid, but raised his arm to show he is one with America and will bring back what it deserves».

The artist added that he chose not to accept payment for the work, understanding that it might help bring the two countries closer together. According to him, Putin later called and confirmed his suspicions.

The portrait of Donald Trump was handed over to the White House leader by special envoy Steven Witkoff following a visit to Moscow in March of this year.

Earlier, WNTab reported on the announcement of an «Easter truce».

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has not ruled out the possibility of the U.S. withdrawing from Ukraine-Russia negotiations if the parties complicate the process.
