The new agreement envisions an official end to the war and the withdrawal of IDF forces from the Gaza Strip

Representatives from Qatar and Egypt have proposed a new ceasefire plan between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas. This was reported by WNTab on Tuesday, April 22, citing sources from the BBC.

According to the journalists’ sources, the new plan includes a ceasefire lasting 5 to 7 years and a full exchange of all Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails. In addition, the agreement calls for an official end to the war and the withdrawal of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops from the Gaza Strip.

According to the publication, Hamas has also agreed to transfer governing authority to any Palestinian governing body. This could be either the Palestinian Authority or a newly formed administrative entity.

Earlier, WNTab reported that over the past three days, the Israeli army had carried out more than 200 airstrikes on the Palestinian enclave.
