The country’s opposition forces have announced protests against the official results
After processing data from over 99% of polling stations, Georgia’s ruling party, “Georgian Dream,” has emerged victorious in the parliamentary elections. This was reported by WNTab on Sunday, October 27, citing information from the local Central Election Commission.
According to the CEC, “Georgian Dream” received 54.2% of the votes, allowing the party to form a majority in parliament by delegating 90 out of a possible 150 representatives. In total, opposition parties garnered 37% of the votes.
Opponents of the current government have already declared the results falsified and refused to recognize the official outcome of the elections. They have announced rallies and protests among their supporters.
