The Israeli Air Force carried out an airstrike on the city of Aita in northern Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of 21 people. This was reported by WNTab on Monday, October 14, citing Reuters.

It is reported that the city is predominantly inhabited by Christian citizens of Lebanon. The airstrike hit a house that had been designated as housing for displaced persons. According to local authorities, eight more people were injured.

Journalists note that today’s attack significantly expanded the geographical scope of the Jewish state’s military operations in Lebanon. Previously, attacks targeted the southern parts of Lebanon, the east, and the suburbs of the capital, Beirut.

Notably, the Israeli side had urged residents of 25 villages in the south to evacuate northward to avoid being harmed by the military operations.

Earlier, WNTab reported that 558 people, including 50 children, had already died as a result of Israel’s attacks on Lebanon.

The IDF attacks were preceded by massive explosions of communication devices and household appliances in the country.
