US Presidential Election 2024: Kamala Harris Officially Becomes Democratic Candidate

The National Committee of the political party announced that the Vice President received the necessary number of delegate votes

The current Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, has officially become the Democratic Party’s candidate for the presidency in the 2024 election. This was reported by WNTab on Saturday, August 3.

According to the National Committee of the Democratic Party, a majority of delegates voted for Harris’s candidacy at the convention.

Kamala Harris:

“For me, it is a great honor to be the Democratic Party’s candidate for President of the United States. This campaign is about people coming together, inspired by love for their country, to fight for the best in us.”

Meanwhile, her Republican opponent Donald Trump announced that he had arranged for a debate on Fox News on September 4. Harris’s campaign has yet to comment on her opponent’s proposal.

Earlier, WNTab reported that former US President Barack Obama endorsed Harris as the Democratic candidate.

In the meantime, Donald Trump agreed to hold a televised debate with Kamala Harris.

The Vice President became the main contender after the current President Joe Biden withdrew from the race.
